DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- In partnership with NOA Communications team and publishing partners, prepares goals for all third-party communications programs which includes influencer marketing, social media marketing, and public relations.
- Analyzes gaming industry insights, summarizes insights, and provides project management support to enable marketing insight development and campaign execution.
- Evaluates results on an ongoing basis, adjusting and innovating to continuously improve ROI.
- Develops and prepares trend reports to communicate strategic marketing opportunities and propose recommendations to stakeholders ranging from PDR marketing individual contributors and marketing leadership.
- Reports regularly to leadership on project status and key KPIs.
- Leads executional team of individual contributors responsible for reviewing and identifying third-party marketing beats to drive engagement on NOA social media channels and with traditional media targets.
- Supervises daily work and ongoing development of assigned staff, and championing team health and morale.
- Builds and maintains strong external relationships, working closely with development and publishing partners to align on complimentary strategies and deliver best-in-class work.
- Builds and maintains strong internal relationships, driving success through regular interaction with stakeholders both locally and at global offices.
- Collaborates with channel owners across Nintendo of America including social media, public relations, influencer, and editorial teams.
- Spearheads the development and implementation of tools and processes that optimize team's ability to deliver on goals effectively and efficiently.
- Supervises strategic integration of 3rd party titles into the full breadth of Nintendo of America's communications channels.
- Sets strategy and prioritization for 3rd party communications calendar.
- Closely monitors current events within and outside the industry to ensure timely comms management, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to craft proactive and reactive messaging as needed.
- As needed and upon successful completion of necessary training, represents Nintendo as an official corporate spokesperson.
- As needed, manages allocated budget, including creation and execution of funding agreements, Action Memos, and invoices.
- Maintains a considered and expansive understanding of industry trends and best practices.
- Works with highly confidential information in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment that requires scheduling flexibility during peak seasons.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Six (6) years of related experience.
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience as a people manager and team leader.
- Robust background in data analytics, forecast tracking, and ongoing ROI assessment.
- Extensive experience in deadline-driven, end-to-end project management, with a focus on social media and public relations.
- Experience managing and maintaining project budgets.
- Knowledge of strategic social media and influencer marketing practices.
- Experience developing and executing social media and influencer marketing programs
- Experience working with external social media and influencer agencies/vendors
- In-depth knowledge of marketing tools, channels, and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of video games and the gaming industry.
- Excellent gameplay skills, with ability to eloquently engage audiences while playing.
- Software proficiencies: Advanced PC skills; emphasis on MS Office, Tableau, Smartsheet, Confluence.
- Experience with communications insights tools like Netbase/Quid, Sprinklr and/or Metlwater.
- Manages a team of professional individual contributors and/or supervisors.
- A valid passport may be required for international travel.
- Applies understanding of the business and how own area integrates with others to achieve departmental objectives.
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
