SR. MANAGER, DIGITAL STRATEGY & MARKETING OPERATIONS

OVERVIEW

Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) is seeking a Sr. Manager of Digital Strategy & Marketing Operations to propel our next growth phase. This critical role involves comprehensive oversight of the technology and automations that support and streamline marketing operations to execute our strategies effectively.

Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Strategy, you will play a crucial role in bridging strategy with execution across all facets of marketing operations. This role demands a proactive leader who brings a strategic mindset, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of marketing dynamics in the financial services sector. You will be comfortable advocating and collaborating across our business to influence the integrations, gather critical information and secure the resources and technology needed optimize marketing impact on business priorities.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Foundation & Strategic Roadmap

- Develop and sustain a strategic vision that ensures best-in-class marketing operations and supports the overall company and go-to-market strategies.

- Define the marketing operations and automation vision, roadmap and strategy for intelligent data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

Technology & Tools

- Lead projects and key initiatives focused on the selection, implementation, configuration, integration and optimization of technology and tools to streamline processes and automate our marketing/sales pipeline.

- Define and oversee marketing workflows and technology stack, focusing on metrics/processes for inquiry, contact, lead and account-based management, scoring systems, nurturing, campaign tracking, and database health (inclusive of Marketo, Salesforce, & similar).

Automation & Optimization

- Identify funnel optimizations, select new technologies and improve data workflows to help marketing drive demand and the sales pipeline by identifying what works (or what doesn't).

- Optimize lead scoring, lead flow and distribution methodology to ensure quality leads are passed to our Sales teams for qualification and increased efficiencies and conversion rates.

- Develop, map and document key marketing workflows, handle marketing data, analyze performance, and align cross-functionally with stakeholders on gaps and optimizations in the current processes.

Measurement & Reporting

- Track and report on marketing metrics, campaign performance and marketing-sourced leads across the entire funnel, from lead acquisition through retention.

- Actively monitor, analyze, and report on end-to-end marketing metrics across the funnel to improve program effectiveness and conversion rates.

- Implement long-term attribution analysis to evaluate all digital activities, connecting them to revenue and closed deals.

Collaboration

- Foster alignment across Marketing teams and with Sales and Customer Success operations to provide a seamless client journey and optimized revenue funnel.

- Engage closely with stakeholders in Sales Operations, Insights & Analytics, Business Intelligence, and across the company to ensure strategic alignment and execution.

- Manage, mentor, and enhance adoption of marketing processes and automations through thorough change management, promotion of best practices and advocating operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, preferably in the financial services sector, with extensive knowledge in processes, systems, and analytics.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related

- Demonstrated success in a B2B environment

- Comprehensive knowledge of marketing technology stacks, including CRM platforms like Salesforce, and marketing automation tools such as Marketo or Pardot.

- Strong analytical mindset, with a passion for leveraging data to drive strategic decisions.

- Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) processes and go-to-market strategies.

- Outstanding communication skills, adept at engaging with senior-level stakeholders.

- Excellent project management skills, emphasizing results-driven execution and ownership.

Salary Range:
$158,010 - $217,235

Salary range is an estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package, including retirement and pension plan contributions, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life insurance, and other wellbeing benefits.
