JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this job is to coordinate information that is provided to the general public in order to foster and help maintain a positive public image for the Georgia Lottery Corporation. Duties include, but are not limited to: managing the GLC’s corporate social responsibility efforts, ensuring that any requests for information are handled in an appropriate manner, assisting in the development of GLC publications and presentations, and quarterly and annual data collection and distribution. Responding to requests and inquiries from the public and media; writing press releases, speeches, articles and other content; creating and designing promotional materials; and performing other tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties may include. But are not limited to:Manage the GLC’s corporate social responsibility efforts.Maintain various responsible gaming certifications and efforts.Responds to requests and inquiries from news media.Researches and executes responses to GLC open record requests.Responds to surveys on an as needed basis.Maintains educational proceeds information.Assists in the development of GLC publications and presentations.Generates positive news coverage of the Georgia Lottery Corporation.Writes and edits press releases, articles, speeches, scripts and other content.Creates and designs various promotional materials for print and digital collateral.Distributes news clippings; develops and implements media tracking systems.Coordinates the Speakers Bureau by analyzing requests and arranging for an appropriate speakerKNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, or equivalent, required.Minimum of three years of public relations, media or editing experience.Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
