Position Overview

Position SummaryUnder general supervision, provide professional marketing, branding, and communication services, including but not limited to comprehensive, strategic, and long-term planning, and project work on an as-needed basis. In addition, assist with the coordination and implementation of all leadership events for the Career Technical Leadership Project (CTLP) and Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). This position is funded through a grant from the US Department of Education and is subject to funding approval each year from the US Department of Education for this position's continuation.Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:Produce, develop, advertise, and market the project in various media, such as print and video; may assist in developing teaching materials, handouts, newsletter, pamphlets, and brochuresReview and/or create all marketing materials for each CTSO, following national marketing guidelines.Create branding materials for each CTSO regarding mailouts, emails, website, graphics, etc.Design any artwork design for CTSOs or CTLP, i.e. theme art, awards, certificates, etc.Establish and implement short and long-range goals and objectives, as well as development of policies and operating procedures to ensure efficient operation of the programWork in partnership with the CTLP state-wide advisory committee to cooperatively evaluate all CTSO's effectiveness and compliance with the goals of the Perkins Grant and Career Technical Leadership Program.Prepare up to date website content and ensure the NMCTSO website is currentManage all social media for CTLP and all four (4) CTSOs including LinkedIn accounts.Manage all mail outs, emails, and program advertising for CTLP and all four (4) CTSOsAssist in preparation of Program of WorkEstablish and deploy a strategic plan for the NM CTSO.Coordination and facilitating of state leadership conferences, student officer/leadership training, specific to the student organization represented.Coordination of event rooms, equipment, space, restrictions, awards, etc.Coordination and facilitating of New Mexico's involvement at national conventions/conferences specifically with the state officer teams.Facilitate the CTLP Advisory Committee in meeting the goals of the projectEstablish and deploy a strategic marketing plan for the project.Leadership duties to include but not limited to: managing state officer coordinators, state officer training and materials, coaching all National officer candidatesPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree. Preference will be given to those who hold degrees in Career Technical Education. Four years of directly related experience in CTE preferred.

Ability to work under minimal supervision.Must exercise initiative and judgment in performing job.Exhibit the ability to understand oral and written instructions.Must demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Proficient verbal communication skills and the ability to manage conflict in a civil, professional and courteous manner are required.The ability to demonstrate flexibility in the performance of various job functions is required.Must demonstrate adaptability in relations with co-workers.Exhibit an accepting and non-threatening attitude toward students and the ability to suitably manage behavior and create an appropriate career educational setting that will motivate students.Meets with staff and administration to develop programs that will continue to enhance the NM CTSO programs to promote the career educational success of students.Must have a willingness to carry out assigned tasks and performance of responsibilities.Strong computer skills is required with preference towards skills in web design systems and Windows Office programs.Inter-departmental planning and programming collaboration is required and cross-program overflow assistance when needed is required.Maintain an atmosphere that protects the privacy of confidential information pertaining to students and personnel records is required.Facilitate and coordinate comprehensive services and training activities for the New Mexico Career Technical Student Organizations (NM CTSOs).Demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines with time constraints.Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.Working Conditions

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:

This can be a remote position.Work is medium in nature that at times requires exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.Regular travel approximately 45% of the time within the state /and or out of state with occasional overnight lodging required.Flexible work hours are required to respond to the individual needs of the CTOSs and schools served, which may involve evening and weekend hours.Essential Functions: (As defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, these include the aforementioned responsibilities, minimum job knowledge, skills, and abilities; and physical demand and working conditions. Paid Time Off

Full time exempt employees accrue 14.66 hours of annual leave and 14 hours of medical leave per month. Employees must work for the University for three months before they are eligible to use annual leave. Leave accruals will be pro-rated for part time employees. Temporary employees do not accrue leave.

Employee Educational Assistance Plan

Eastern New Mexico University offers a tuition waiver for regular employees and retirees. This program waives the tuition for one course (up to four credit hours) per semester.
