The Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) is looking for a

volunteer (unpaid) Social Media Coordinator

to join our Marketing team!SASF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on raising funds for Seattle Animal Shelter programs that the City of Seattle cannot fund on their own. Our volunteer Board of Directors and committees are passionate about animal welfare and love giving back to our community.The ideal candidate has a track record of success in growing social media audiences, ideally for an animal nonprofit or related field. They will excel at taking photos and videos at the Seattle Animal Shelter and SASF events, like our annual Furry 5K Fun Run and Walk (June 9, 2024) and our Furevermore Auction & Gala (November 9, 2024). Self-sufficiency, organization, and thriving in a fast-paced environment are essential elements for this role.Responsibilities:Create, schedule, and publish two to three social media posts per weekVisit the Seattle Animal Shelter and SASF events to capture photo and video contentMaintain the social media entries on the Marketing Planning CalendarManage audience engagement; respond to audience comments and messagesCollaborate with volunteers, including our Social Media Lead volunteerHave fun with us as we raise funds to help shelter pets!Qualifications:Professional or volunteer experience as a Social Media Coordinator or Manager.Experience with pet photography and graphic/video editing (Canva) for social media.A positive attitude and desire to make a difference for Seattle’s shelter pets.Time commitment:
