Overview

Join our team at the Council of Industry, a not-for-profit member-based employer association representing over 125 manufacturers in the Hudson Valley. We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Communications Manager to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, enhance outreach, and engage our members. Together with our team and our Board of Directors, you will create and manage content for digital platforms, including newsletters, social media, websites, our podcast (Manufacturing Matters with the Council of Industry), and other media such as our magazine (HV MFG), press releases, and collateral flyers, ensuring consistency with our goals and values. This role is perfect for a curious, well-rounded individual who thrives in a small, collaborative team and is passionate about making a meaningful impact.

Salary Range - Dependent on Experience

$38,500 - $45,500

Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30

Occasional travel withing the Hudson Valley

PTO, Schedule Flexibility, 403(b)

ResponsibilitiesMarketing Campaigns and Content Creation:

Create and compile compelling and engaging content for newsletters, digital marketing, and social media platforms.

Schedule, and publish content across various channels, engage with followers and monitor metrics.

Manage digital marketing tools, including Constant Contact, Association Management System (NOVI AMS) and WordPress, to execute campaigns and manage subscriber lists.

Utilize SEO and SEM strategies to increase online visibility and engagement.

Membership Engagement:

Develop strategies to increase membership, enhance member value, and improve member retention.

Plan and execute member-focused events and initiatives.

Collect and analyze member feedback to inform future strategies.

Coordinate with external vendors to support marketing initiatives, including website enhancements and digital marketing campaigns.

Collaborate with writers, designers, and other contributors to produce high-quality articles and visuals for each edition of HV MFG, including managing advertising content and relationships.

QualificationsQualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in marketing and communications.

Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Constant Contact, social media management tools, and content management systems.

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in graphic design and familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).

Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and Google Analytics.

Experience in membership based organization.

Experience with event planning and promoting.
