Overall Function

EDF’s digital team executes a wide range of projects to support EDF’s goals, from testing and optimizing single elements to building more complex sections on content.

We are a close-knit, collaborative group that is committed to ongoing training, learning, and experimentation to develop individually and as a team.Succeeding in the Digital Content Specialist role means much more than creating content and project coordination. You will play a key role in interfacing with internal stakeholders, defining projects and translating our goals into good user experiences. You will manage feedback from stakeholders throughout the organization. You will find solutions in close partnership with our developers and designers, and help those solutions succeed by participating in QA and user testing efforts.Key Responsibilities

Manage daily webteam requests for all EDF web properties from staff across the organization.Identify, then resolve or escalate issues that impede team progress.Help meet EDF's digital goals by defining and managing projects involving multidisciplinary teams.Produce carefully thought-out and researched content on edf.org and other EDF web properties.Contribute to projects' success by facilitating effective communication on project teams, within the digital team and with stakeholders. This includes managing feedback, articulating goals, and keeping the team's daily activities coordinated.Improve the effectiveness of our efforts by providing project teams with relevant and actionable insights from analytics, user research and quantitative testing.Participate in advancing EDF DEI goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values.Support consistency and efficiency through building strong routines and documentation, from recording group decisions to ensuring that tools and processes are well-tuned to our goals.Take responsibility for the overall cohesion of your projects and ensure their success; keeping projects moving in a decentralized, matrixed organization.Contribute ideas and other help as needed on the digital team’s full range of services.Qualifications

At least three years of experience with complex digital projects.Thorough knowledge of online production environments, project phases and common challenges.Excellent written and in-person communication skills, including meeting facilitation and follow-up.Experience keeping project teams focused, organized, and moving. Knowledge of Wrike, Asana or other project management tools is a plus.Strong background in user-centered web projects, including familiarity with common research techniques.Experience with analytics and testing tools such as Google Analytics, CrazyEgg and Optimizely.Experience with administrative and editing functions in Drupal, WordPress or similar CMSs.Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and dynamic content.Strong interest of emerging digital communications tools, and curiosity about how we can use them to advance EDF’s mission.Flexibility to take on new roles as the evolution of the digital space leads us in unexpected directions.Demonstrates self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.We offer a strong total rewards package encompassing competitive salary, robust benefits, and professional development opportunities consistent with a modern global organization.
