About the job

Public Sector is one of the largest industries by revenue at SAS. It’s a diverse and essential industry supporting sales and customer advisory teams around the world covering national, regional, and local governments across a variety of domains such as law enforcement, defense, government finance, publicly funded and delivered health care, infrastructure, and transportation. The Global Industry Marketing Public Sector team is looking for a Principal Product Marketing Manager to develop and execute Public Sector messaging and content to support marketing strategies and programs in support of company goals. Our team is an experienced and enthusiastic set of marketing and domain experts who work collaboratively and will support you in the execution of your work and help you grow to achieve your potential as a modern marketer.

As a Principal Product Marketing Manager, you will:

Drive government-centered marketing messaging that is relevant and compelling to SAS customers and prospects.

Collaborate regularly with internal teams, including global sales, customer advisory, business development, solution, and field marketing resources.

Develop customer-facing marketing and sales enablement content and collateral, including across web properties.

Support the development and execution of global marketing campaigns.

Required Qualifications

12 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Consulting or related function in the technology industry.

Experience working with Government customers or Government Domain Experts to develop Government specific messaging and content.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a technical field with significant writing experience.

Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

Some Public Sector knowledge and experience strongly preferred. You understand what the government does and its scope of responsibilities.

Work or education experience in another country.

Working knowledge or fluency in other languages preferred.
