If you think you are the right match for the following opportunity, apply after reading the complete description.HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:Experienced technical designer leader with the ability to drive performance of a team and contribute to overall team strategy.- 35%: Development TasksResponsible for timeline adherence by ensuring all T/P for all product categories are delivered to development partners on timeMonitor development process to meet calendar deadlines and work closely with cross functional partnersAdminister library of patterns and blocksApprove block patternsDetermine which blocks need to be updated, eliminated, or addedBenchmark pattern studies for competitor brands, analyze results and share with Technical Design leaders and cross functional partnersLead communication with cross functional partners (Design, Merch, Quality and PDC), representing the interests of the Technical Design teamAct as key sponsor for Technical Design initiatives in partnership with cross functional teamsManage the development workload and meeting timeline- 15% Fit ReviewsLead projects related to grading, construction, etc.Collaborate with CGS TD and cross functional teams (i.e. Manufacturing Excellence, Quality Assurance, etc.) to determine minimum construction standardsEstablish and validate fit standardsChampion best practices in fit standards and processSupervise key fittings to ensure standardization and timely fit samples approval, offering support and guidance to team membersIdentify and conduct root cause analysis of product failuresBuild approval process and generic placement manualFacilitate discussion with Design for process opportunities, product issues, and solutionsLiaise with cross functional teams to find solutions for potential risk constructions, offering technical solutions- 20% Coaching & LeadershipSupervise the operations of the team in accordance with protocol and practices set out by leadershipDevelop Technical Design operational plan including manpower requirements, hiring structure and process, policy and operating procedureMentor and assist managers with coaching implementation- 10% ProjectsPlan and deliver Technical Design initiativesProvide effective status reporting, project budget management and timeline managementLiaise with all internal and external stakeholders in accomplishing project objectivesProvide technical support and expert advice on discipline-related issues to other members of the project team as well as to in-house staff on other divisions- 10% ReportingAnticipate, communicate, and mitigate risks/escalations to deliver a great fit, measured by KPI’sAct as the voice of the consumer and other quality reportsMeet or exceed Technical Design productivity and quality metrics as related to established KPI’s, setting high expectations and standards for the team- 10% StrategyAssist in building and support the implementation of strategy as aligned with Technical Design leadershipAlign with Sourcing strategy in terms of product, CO, and vendor baseWE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF: (REQUIREMENTS SECTION) Must have:Strong technical Design expertise, pattern and grading.
