In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and solution architects, to gather information and produce top-notch technical documentation, user guides, and release notes.

A key part of this role will also be supporting FreeWheel’s extensive API documentation; check it out online to see the kind of content you would be responsible for. Your expertise in simplifying complex technical concepts will be vital in ensuring that our customers and internal teams can easily understand and make the most of our client resources and offerings.

About our Team

The Knowledge Management (KM) and Training team leverages product expertise and program management skills to drive and deliver best-in-class documentation and education focused on making client users experts using FreeWheel technology. Our clients desire clear, concise, and complete product documentation and training to achieve success in their businesses.

This role is based in the New York City office (Midtown Manhattan). In person attendance is required 4 days per week.

Job DescriptionMeet end-to-end documentation requirements, including evaluation and research, content generation (technical writing, diagrams, screenshots, etc.), publication, and follow upEngage in Product and Engineering squad meetings as needed to develop anunderstanding of core products and featuresUse project management skills to define and meet project milestones, communicate issues and risks in a timely manner, and manage stakeholder expectationsRevise documents in a timely way to support ongoing product updates and changesConduct technical and editorial reviews of KM team documentation outputBecome a technical documentation subject matter expert in multiple product areasDevelop, recommend, implement, and adhere to technical communicationsdocumentation standardsProduce timely drafts for stakeholder review; coordinate the printing and distribution of end-user and technical documentationPerform editing and quality control functions on department documentationReview and evaluate system inconsistencies. Recommend changes to improve usability of computer systems and technical documentation (manuals, reference guides, newsletters,

forms, help aids, and templates).About You2 – 5

years of experience in a technical content development roleExperience with Postman, Github, Readme, and other API enablement technology is requiredPreferred experience includes: knowledge of issues around premium video, including OTT, STB-VOD, CTV and other connected devices; understanding the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including transaction models and value chain economics, and professional experience in programmatic advertising at a major DSP, SSP, exchange, network, or publisherPassion for learning new products, ideas, and systems, with the ability to translate business objectives and detailed technical information into clear, client-friendly documentationDesire to work directly with others, including Product and Engineering teams, as well as other stakeholders, with the end goal of producing extraordinary contentKnowledge of technical writing standards and best practices, with a strong attention to detail to adhere to such standardsSuperb verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to generate innovative technical content that people enjoy consumingExcited to contribute to the development of best-in-class documentation for FreeWheel productsStrong focus on the customer experience, and ensuring documentation proactively incorporates end user empathyAdaptable:

ProficienciesExperience in documenting technical content, including JSON and XML schemas, APIs, software specifications, product release notes, and product user guidesAtlassian products (Jira, Confluence); ReadMe or similar API documentation platforms; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Smartsheet; diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Draw.io, or Lucid)Ad Tech experience in the digital or linear TV space is strongly preferred

Salary:Primary Location Pay Range: $67,454.51 - $101,181.77Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
