As part of our strategic growth, Comcast NBCUniversal plans to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprising NBCUniversal's cable networks and digital assets, expected to be completed in 2025.

MSNBC Digital seeks a Writer and Digital Producer to enhance our Breaking News and Blogs team.

Responsibilities:

• Write concise, compelling coverage of breaking and trending news
• Identify key moments from MSNBC broadcasts and convert them into digital content
• Collaborate with editorial and platform teams to boost reader engagement
• Contribute to live blogs as needed
• Adhere to MSNBC’s Standards and Legal guidelines
• Stay informed about industry competition

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years newsroom experience, with breaking news preferred
• 2+ years in a digital-focused environment
• Willingness to cover a broad range of topics
• Ability to file quickly and frequently
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Professional, organized, and adaptable across teams

This role is hybrid, based in New York City or Washington, D.C., with a schedule including evenings and weekends. It is represented by the Writers’ Guild of America East.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and more. Salary range: $93,000 - $110,000.
