The Business Development & Marketing Coordinator will interact with office and sector leadership and attorneys, as well as professional staff. This individual will have strong project management skills needed to execute and deliver internal and external projects, programs, events, and processes that support the business development and marketing strategies for the Western Region (includes CA, UT, and CO offices) and the Innovative Technology Sector.

This position will work closely with both the BD&M Manager – Western Region (includes CA, UT, and CO offices) and Senior BD&M Manager – Innovative Technology to stay versed on emerging legal and market trends, provide attorneys with an understanding of the competitive landscape, and help position the firm for increased revenue and profile-raising opportunities. #LI-Hybrid

Responsibilities

Execute the delivery of innovative, distinctive, and integrated profile-raising campaigns and initiatives, including client events, targeted seminar programs, client-facing material production, website development, digital and social media, etc.

Help implement all events, webinars, conferences/seminars, client entertainment, and client receptions, including creation and monitoring of budgets; venue selection; reserving necessary rentals; invitation development and mailing lists; RSVP tracking; internal communications regarding the event; organizing registration; creating name tags; greeting attendees upon arrival; being accessible to address guests' needs; preparing/ordering event materials, giveaway items and clients gifts; signage; materials; follow-up communications; and ROI tracking.

Conduct and analyze research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships, expand the client base, and increase external and internal visibility in the marketplace and business legal community, as appropriate.

Identify and coordinate all memberships, sponsorships, subscriptions, and contributions allocated to the BD&M budget and maintaining a database to track expenses and ROI. Assist lead attorneys with maximizing benefits and lead generation.

Drafting, editing, distributing, and maintaining external marketing materials, client alerts, and thought leadership.

Update the firm's CRM database, including data entry, external mailings, and running reports.

Develop customized pitches/RFPs and presentations.

Prepare internal newsletters and region/sector-wide communications.

Develop relationships with organizations to identify committee and board opportunities for business development and profile purposes.

Manage (and help guide attorneys with) social media/LinkedIn posts.

Create and manage community relations programs and initiatives.

Write and submit nominations for attorney(s) for local and sector media awards (e.g. Business Journal 40 under 40 or Top Women Lawyer), as well as draft legal directory submissions.

Coordinate and process all marketing-related expenses.

Support key client accounts and Areas of Focus within the Innovative Technology Sector portfolio.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field required.

Minimum of one (1) year of experience with business development and/or marketing in a complex, consultative, and solution-oriented organization required.

Legal experience preferred.

Pursuant to the California Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, the salary range for this San Diego based position is between $47,100 - $76,600 and Los Angeles based position is $49,100 - $80,100. These figures represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be determined based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
