$110,000 - $150,000Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Design Manager to lead our graphic design team and manage freelance industrial and graphic designers. This role demands a unique blend of creative leadership, project management, and strategic planning, ensuring that our design direction aligns with market trends and our brand vision. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our product development team and customers to deliver impactful design solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership:Oversee daily operations of the in-house graphic design team and freelance designers.Provide guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to team members.Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.Project Management:Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.Coordinate with product development, marketing, and sales teams to align design projects with business objectives.Ensure all designs meet quality standards and brand guidelines.Creative Strategy & DirectionCollaborate with the product development team to integrate design trends and consumer insights into product designs.Work closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver innovative design solutions.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.Conduct market research to identify emerging design trends and consumer preferences.Adapt and incorporate relevant trends into the design process to keep the brand fresh and competitive.Provide regular reports and presentations on design trends and project progress to senior management.Serve as a liaison between the design team and other departments to ensure cohesive branding and design consistency across all platforms.Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and creative solutions.Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar tools.Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex design challenges.Strong understanding of market trends and consumer behavior.Experience working with product development teams and understanding the product lifecycle.Familiarity with both graphic and industrial design principles.Experience with 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.3+ years of supervisory experience.5+ years of design experience.Application ProcessInterested candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, and a portfolio demonstrating their design expertise and leadership experience.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
