Job descriptionTitle: Designer - Childrens Fashion SportswearLocation: New York, NYSalary: $80,000-$90,000Job Description: Girls Associate DesignerOur client, an iconic children's fashion brand, is seeking a talented Designer to join their team. This role will play a crucial part in creating the latest trends and maintaining the brand's unique identity.Responsibilities:- Provide overall design support, including creating tech packs and presentation boards.- Assist in maintaining the seasonal design catalog, ensuring all product information is accurate and up to date.- Coordinate and upload sample packages, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.- Provide color and reference samples to support the design process.- Contribute to the brand's research initiatives, helping to shape the complete landscape of brand development.- Meet all deadlines in adherence to the seasonal design calendar.- Undertake special projects as assigned, aligned with the brand's strategic goals.- Create sketches of cad styles for style development as needed.- Collaborate closely with the design team to create, update, and prepare technical packs for sampling.- Track and update the design sample schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met.Requirements:- Previous experience in a similar role within the fashion industry, preferably in children's wear.- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.- Proficient in creating tech packs, presentation boards, and sketches.- Knowledge of color theory and ability to provide accurate color and reference samples.- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design and trends.- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.- Excellent communication and coordination skills.- Familiarity with design software and tools is a plus.Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design5+ years of experience in related fieldProficient in Adobe Creative SuiteExcellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detailIf you are passionate about children's fashion and have a keen eye for design, we would love to hear from you.
