Digital Media Manager

The Colorado Eagles are hiring for the position of Digital Media Manager, who would oversee the team's social media platforms and support the teams website. The position will report directly to the Director of Fan Experience & Video Services, while also working with multiple departments throughout the organization.

Digital Media Manager Job Responsibilities:

Create and manage high-quality, compelling, unique, and relevant content for the team's social media and digital platforms that drives brand awareness, increases ticket sales, works with sponsorship services, elevates the team and players, and shapes the organization's identity across multiple platforms.Maintain a consistent brand voice across all social channels.Define social strategy, goal and audience targets, channel guidelines, and customer services and crisis management protocols.Ensure all applicable social handles are covered and game coverage is conducted for all home and away games.Daily coverage of all team activities including games, practices, media events, and community events.Provide real-time coverage at team events throughout the year: rookie camp, training camp, preseason and postseason games, all home and away games.Interact and engage with fans.Maintain a relationship with the Colorado Avalanche and AHL social teams to ensure collaboration, content amplification, etc.Amplify and adhere to AHL best practices.Develop monthly content calendars.Develop creative ways to engage and build follower bases.Provide continual curation of news, trends, and culture on all social media platforms for the purpose of brainstorming and creating engaging content.Work with Creative Services for look and feel requirements each season.Manage the team's digital photography archives on both server and Dropbox, maintain all files on Dropbox, tag all photos as they come in and keep them organized and cataloged.Content creation including but not limited to audio/video, animation, graphics, etcManage and mentor digital media interns and photographers.Maintain and update the team website.Assist in email marketing efforts.Assist in creating weekly newsletters.Content writing as necessary: create, edit, and proof, would include interviews as needed.Participate in community outreach, capture community initiatives and appearances to share on digital media.Help define and track key performance indicators and create reports with key learning and action items to consistently improve social performance using native platforms and third-party analytics.Provide measurements: platform growth, channel analytics (Sprout, that would quantify sales objectives, etc)Create and maintain a budget for the department: Digital Media Services.Use AHL Analytics as a baseline to grow Eagles digital media accounts into top 5/ top 10 categories.Photography services as needed: practices, games, player head shots.Cataloging photos and managing team photography equipment.Emphasis on continual education and continual (self) improvement: identify deficiencies and weakness on a continual basis and create goals for improvement.Measures of Success: Grow Platforms, provide metrics & Quantify SalesMust be willing to work weekends, holidays, and hours outside of normal business hours.This is a great opportunity to work in a fun, high-paced environment within the sports industry. Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Incentive packages available for the right candidate.

Creating and maintaining social voice across multiple platformsProficient with Adobe Platforms (Photoshop, Premiere)Photography skillsWorking successfully in a team environment across several departmentsEffective time managementSelf-motivated approach to scheduling and execution of social campaignsProficient in marketing research and statistical analysisAble to develop and adhere to budgetsFamiliar with a multitude of computer-based programsEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing or a related fieldProven working experience in digital media, particularly within the sports industryDemonstrable experience leading and managing social media platforms and digital campaignsProficient in Adobe PhotoshopHighly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivateExperience in optimizing a company websiteSolid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools.
