Description of Primary Duties

We are seeking a creative and motivated Missouri State University student to serve as the Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant for Juanita K. Hammons Hall and Great Southern Bank Arena. This part-time role involves designing marketing materials and venue assets for various shows and events, as well as assisting the marketing staff with the development of social media content and digital marketing strategies. This position has a flexible schedule, averaging 10-20 hours per week.

Design marketing and promotional materials for Juanita K. Hammons Hall and Great Southern Bank Arena events.Create visually appealing venue assets including posters, flyers, digital banners, and other graphic elements.Assist in the development and execution of social media content to engage our audience and promote events.Support digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, website updates, and online advertisements.Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and implement creative ideas for promotional campaigns.Ensure all designs align with the university's brand guidelines and event requirements.Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Maintain organized files and documentation of design projects.Assist other departments, such as Group Sales and Development, with their design and marketing needsRequired Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).Understanding of graphic design principles and techniques.Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Must be a current Missouri State University student (enrolled in at least six credit hours per semester).Required Certifications

Additional Qualifications

Prior experience in a similar position or current enrollment in a related major at Missouri State University.Knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere or similar).Familiarity with current social media trends and best practices.An interest in arts and entertainment event management and production.
