Description of Primary Duties

The Student Marketing Assistant plays an active role in the development and dissemination of the Career Center's marketing and promotional materials.Assist the Career Center's Marketing CoordinatorContribute to creation of graphics for Career Center events and activitiesBrainstorm and execute content creation (reels, event promotion, event recaps)Create graphics for social media outlets, website, reports and marketing materialTarget student engagement (increase student interaction with the Career Center)Adhere to University brand in all designs and communication materialsStay current with content and design trendsCollaborate with other staff members and/or independently accomplish relevant tasks to meet project deadlinesOther duties may be assigned based on office needs and demonstrated interestRequired Qualifications

Must be a current Missouri State University student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree (ideally in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communication Studies, or other relevant area of study)Comfortable with content creation and social media engagement (Reels on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)Previous experience with relevant design programs Canva, Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)Creative self-starter who is comfortable with taking initiative and working in collaboration with othersDetail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skillsRequired Certifications

Additional Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, ExcelFlexible yet able to adhere to strict deadlinesActive Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-makingSpecial Instructions to Applicants
