Position Overview

The cars you drive, the bridges you cross, the buildings you work in, the phone you use, the movies you watch, and the video games you play all have one thing in common: they were designed and made with Autodesk’s software.

We are looking for an experienced communications professional to help tell those stories to internal and external audiences, drive critical employee communications initiatives, such as our education business, and support executive communications for senior leaders in the Worldwide Marketing organization – including for our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting C-level executives, be an exceptionally strong writer, have experience developing social media and thought leadership content, have experience with media relations, understand employee communications, have a keen eye for detail, and be comfortable delivering against quick timelines. This role reports to our Head of Brand and Marketing Communications.

You will work remote or Hybrid.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute external and internal communications strategiesfor the global marketing organization,its priority initiatives, and its most senior leaders -- includingthe CMO

Support executive and employee communications initiatives for the global marketing organization

Drive company-wide events, presentations, leadership communications, corporate announcements, keynotes, and other cadenced communications for internal audiences

Craft narratives that support external storytelling and support public relations for key Autodesk initiatives, including customer stories, data storytelling, and new partnerships or initiatives

Source and driveexternal speaking and thought leadership opportunities for senior leaders

Own and prepare briefing materials for communications moments and engagements

Overseeexecutive social media and editorial calendars, developing compelling, multi-media posts and content that elevates the Autodesk brand and amplifies the company’s impact – leveraging creativity to test new and creative mediums across social

Create high-quality content for keyaudiences, including speeches, scripts, blog posts,and op-eds

Supportexternal announcements with media relations, press briefings, interview prep and management, and developing press materials including pitches, releases, FAQs, and fact sheets

Leverage your understanding of current communications best practices and trends to develop fresh ideas for internal and external communications initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

Communications professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience

A proven ability to develop and execute againststrategic communications plans for both employee and external audiences

An understanding of how to develop and execute against an executive communications plan

Excellent writer with experience crafting narratives, talking points, and messaging for diverse audiences.

Experience developing visual content and presentations for large teams

Experience supporting social media and thought leadership for senior-level executives

Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines

Experience working with senior executives and a track record of building credibility and trust with leadership

Experience working with press, influencers, and stakeholders in the media landscape

Familiarity with digital media tools and platforms, including social media, video production, and enterprise collaboration tools

The role may require occasional travel

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $115,600 and $187,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
