OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join the Pepsi Sports & Entertainment team as an Associate Sports Marketing Manager, focusing on basketball initiatives for Gatorade, the global leader in sports fuel. In this role, you will spearhead strategic marketing efforts within the basketball community, with a dedicated emphasis on the WNBA and G League. As an Associate Sports Marketing Manager, you will be integral to driving Gatorade's commitment to women's sports, particularly within the WNBA. Your innovative ideas and strategic mindset will shape campaigns that not only elevate our brand but also contribute to the growth and recognition of women's sports globally.ResponsibilitiesStrategy Development:* Work closely with the Pepsi Sports & Entertainment Marketing team to develop comprehensive marketing strategies specifically tailored to the basketball market.* Identify key trends, opportunities, and challenges within the basketball industry to inform marketing plans.Partnerships and Collaborations:* Management of day-to-day relationships with select WNBA and G League properties, including athlete partners, league partners (WNBA, G League), and individual teams.* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including basketball teams, leagues, players, and influencers.* Negotiate and execute partnership agreements to enhance Gatorade's presence within the basketball community.Event Management:* Serve as the cross-functional liaison with internal teams to execute at marquee events (WNBA All-Star, Draft, G Leauge Showcase etc.) to ensure seamless execution of events.Campaign Execution:* Implement marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional marketing, to maximize brand visibility.* Oversight of all production shoots leveraging any WNBA or G League athletes or league marks.* Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize future initiatives.Budget Management/Reporting:* Assist in the development and management of the sports marketing budget for basketball initiatives.* Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources while delivering impactful results.* Plan, attend, and recap key events/programs/partnerships to ensure they met objectives, were executed on-brand, and reached the core target.Compensation & Benefits:* The expected compensation range for this position is between $85,200 - $142,650.* Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.* Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.* Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.* In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility:Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.Qualifications* Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.* 5+ years of experience in sports marketing, with a focus on basketball.* Strong understanding of the basketball industry, including key players, teams, and trends.* Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.* Self-Motivated - take initiative & ownership while continuously looking for ways to improve.* Organized - Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
