Technical Writer , you will work with our clients and scientists to prepare final reports for our bioanalysis laboratory. You will be part of a collaborative team to ensure consistency, while independently managing your time and projects.

About the roleThe

Technical Writer

is responsible for writing, updating, editing, and proofreading all technical reports and other regulatory related and required documents.

Essential Duties and Tasks:Prepares final reports per Alturas Analytics, Inc. and client guidelines including spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, etc.Verifies that the raw data used in the final report was captured correctly for the final report preparationMay prepare other technical documents as requestedWorks closely with the project lead and/or personnel responsible for the generation of a specific report to ensure timelines and quality issues are addressedAdditional Duties and Tasks:May perform QC review of data if neededPerforms other duties as needed or assignedRequirements:

Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree (physical, biological or chemistry science preferred)Two years of technical or professional writing experience preferredExcellent knowledge of complete MS Office suiteExcellent knowledge of complete Adobe Acrobat suitePrevious experience in a chemistry or bioanalytical laboratory testing facility is preferredAn equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify the appropriate personnel for this positionSkills and Abilities Requirements:Skills in verbal and written communicationSkills in word processing to prepare reports and correspondenceAbility to work accurately when under pressure to meet deadlinesPhysical Requirements:Position requires sitting over 2/3 of the timePosition requires working in front of a computer monitor over 2/3 of the timePosition requires walking less than 1/3 of the time between departments/officesPosition requires standing less than 1/3 of the timePosition requires talking or hearing less than 1/3 of the timePosition requires use of hands and manual dexterity up to 2/3 of the timePosition requires reaching with hands and arms less than 1/3 of the timePosition requires lifting up to 10 lbs. up to 2/3 of the timeAbout UsAlturas Analytics, Inc.

Salary: From $53,350.00 per year
