We are currently looking for a Full Time Tourism Marketing Assistant Director to join our Tourism team located at Exhibit C.

Summary:

The Tourism Marketing Assistant Director is responsible for leading an internal tourism marketing team and external vendors, collaborating with cross-functional teams, expediting a high volume of projects with strong management skills and balancing analytical capability with creativity to achieve overall organization and department goals. The Assistant Director guides data-driven creative storytelling implementation and engagement to drive consumer demand.

Responsibilities:

Lead and direct innovative, integrated marketing strategies and plans that connect with audiences, inspire travel to Chickasaw Country and influence visitor behavior with a special focus on growth segments.Be a thought leader in understanding audience opportunities, motivators and barriers while maintaining awareness of current events and trends relevant to leisure, lifestyle and group business travel.Direct brand storytelling, paid media, collateral, promotions, partnerships and sales-oriented campaigns.Responsible for all digital and social marketing efforts, including allocating, investing, analyzing and optimizing paid media budgets across all channels to meet business objectives.Use data-driven methods, including visitor profiles, analysis and measurement, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all efforts.Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to develop annual objectives, initiatives and key results that determine sucess.Oversee marketing production calendar for all projects, including developing approval and feedback processes.Develop, plan and oversee the creation of all print and digital marketing collateral, sales pieces and other resources.Coordinate execution of marketing strategy with staff and internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for keeping programs on deadline and budget, ensuring that cross-functional teams meet all goals that pertain to the project.Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.Provide leadership to staff - hire, supervise, mentor and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.Develop, recommend and administer the annual marketing budget.Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities, including print, digital, social, videography and sales.Develops and recommends tourism positioning, packaging and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible return on investment.Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.Establishes and maintains relationships with key strategic partners and within the tourism industry.Produce monthly marketing reports, including ROI data to be presented to Chickasaw Nation leadership.Establishes and maintains consistent brand images throughout all product lines, promotional materials and events.Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.Represent Chickasaw Country and the Chickasaw Nation on Boards and at trade association meetings, events and conferences.Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.It is the responsibility of each employee to attend any training required for his position or profession as determined by his line of support or the executive leadership of the Chickasaw Nation. Also, it is the responsibility of those who supervise, manage or otherwise lead employees (or teams) to ensure that each employee receives all required training.All other duties as assigned.Competencies:

Must demonstrate understanding of financial statements and sales and profit.Present broad-based business acumen and understanding.Skills:

Excellent interpersonal, business partnership, team building and leadership skills required.Ability to address large groups through presentations and/or speeches.Experience:

Ten (10) plus years of extensive marketing experience is required.Seven (7) years management experience required.Current or past participation in the Chickasaw Nation Department of Commerce Fast Track Leadership Training Program may be substituted for any of the above listed experience at the discretion of the Executive Officer and approved by the Under Secretary and/or Secretary.Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a Marketing, Advertising or Business Administration related field requiredCredentials:

Possess a valid driver's license.Complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.Working Conditions:

Work is performed in an office environment.Occasionally may need to visit facilities and other locations where smoking occurs.Must be able to work nights and weekends.Travel is required.
