SUMMARY:Merlin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Sector Marketing Manager with a strong background in event strategy development and execution. This role is critical in driving our brand's presence in the public sector, particularly through the strategic planning and execution of industry-leading events. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate our brand, engage our target audience, and support our business objectives in the public sector.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Event Strategy Development:

Lead the development of a strategic event roadmap aligned with business goals for the public sector.Identify key industry events, conferences, and opportunities for sponsorship, partnership, and speaking engagements.Develop and manage an annual event calendar, ensuring alignment with broader marketing campaigns and objectives.

Event Planning & Execution:

Plan, coordinate, and execute events, including conferences, webinars, workshops, and trade shows.Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and on-site coordination.Develop and implement pre- and post-event marketing campaigns to maximize event ROI.Ensure events are executed on time, within budget, and deliver a high-quality experience for attendees.

Audience Engagement:

Develop targeted messaging and content that resonates with public sector audiences.Leverage digital marketing tools to promote events and engage attendees before, during, and after events.Collaborate with the content team to create event-specific materials, including presentations, whitepapers, and case studies.

Performance Measurement:

Track and analyze the effectiveness of event strategies and campaigns.Provide insights and recommendations for future event planning and marketing activities based on data-driven results.Prepare post-event reports, highlighting key metrics, successes, and areas for improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with sales and partner teams to ensure cohesive messaging and strategy alignment.Liaise with external partners, including agencies, vendors, and industry organizations, to enhance event success.Manage relationships with government and public sector stakeholders to ensure events meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in business, communications or marketingMinimum of 3-5 years' marketing experience with at least 1-2 years B2GRelevant industry experience is a significant plusSUCCESS ATTRIBUTES:
