Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers Amazon Prime members access to thousands of movies and TV shows — all on demand, at any time, on any device.To help provide customers with the best Prime Video experience, we are looking for a Senior Programming Strategy Manager to help develop our content programming strategy for the APAC & MENA region. We are looking for candidates with strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and earn trust with cross-functional teams, and a strong bias for action and passion to do what is right for the customer.This person will directly collaborate with our Prime Video business and Amazon MGM studio teams to provide actionable feedback on global content and its likelihood to resonate with APAC & MENA audiences, ultimately helping to steer the content decision-making process. With a content-forward background, candidates should have qualitative and quantitative skills to work cross-functionally across internal teams to influence creative and business leaders. A mind for innovation, triangulating trends through customer signals, and learning through testing will make this role successful. A successful candidate will need to balance audience metrics, customer insights, and creative innovation to help delight our customers.The role requires experience in using customer insights, 1P and market research, and other data to contribute to our regional plan to fulfill our customer’s entertainment needs year-round. Working with Amazon MGM Studios, Content Acquisition, Marketing, Finance, PR, and global teams, this role will help influence and optimize our global release calendar within APAC & MENA to ensure we regularly delight customers with new and engaging content. As the role requires a high-velocity of decision-making and getting things going, a self-driven approach is crucial. The Senior Programming Strategy Manager will also contribute to evaluating title performance potential, contributing to global content assessments and greenlight decisions. Develop a deep understanding of APAC & MENA customer segments at granular levels (across both existing customers of Prime Video and external users of streaming services) and their content needs to help drive the continued growth of Prime Video.Influence global programming strategy through existing decision-making and planning mechanisms.Build progress reports for local teams and global senior leadership on portfolio performance, slate planning, and other global/regional programming reviews.Build durable mechanisms for SOPs, workstreams, and guidelines related to title strategy.Track risks/opportunities to the content portfolio as APAC & MENA needs evolve over time, developing scalable mitigation strategies as needed.Share responsibility for local APAC content release strategy to other regions, with an aim to scale investments and audience opportunities beyond our region.Own research and syndicated data agency relationships, ensuring easy access to relevant audience data.Conduct audience research as needed to determine opportunities for acquisition and engagement.Conduct measurement of content investments and work with marketing teams to maximize title performance.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using customer insights, 1P and market research, and other data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data.Proven analytical and quantitative skills with a passion and aptitude for analysis.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Economics or similar.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant experience in the entertainment industry of audience and programming analysis, OTT/television content and trend research, or data and consumer insights.Excellent business judgment and an ability to think strategically and to help build execution plans.Demonstrated ability to generate ideas and independently solve problems with a logical, data-driven approach.Demonstrated ability to work effectively across business teams to deliver business results; experience in project management across multiple teams in an organization.Ability to prioritize and multi-task across multiple workstreams.Strong bias for action and sense of urgency; the ability to make things happen quickly.Self-starter skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple projects, teams, and deadlines that run simultaneously.Demonstrated success in influencing cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and leadership across teams.Ability to quickly innovate, implement, learn through experiments, and scale based on learning.Posted:
