Position Overview:

Vibrant Emotional Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Public Relations Manager to join our team, focusing on media relations and public relations strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PR, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage relationships with media and collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders.

Duties/Responsibilities:Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Media Relations:Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts.Pitch stories to media outlets to secure coverage that promotes the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews with spokespersons.

Public Relations Planning:

Develop and implement comprehensive PR plans to enhance the visibility and reputation of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.Collaborate with AVP of Public Relations to align PR strategies with organizational goals.

Cross-Departmental Coordination:

Work closely with various departments within Vibrant Emotional Health to ensure consistent messaging and integrated communications.Coordinate with internal/external partners to support joint initiatives and campaigns.

Statement and Document Drafting:

Draft press releases, pitches, official statements, and media responses.Prepare talking points, briefing documents, and other communication materials for executives and spokespersons.

Event Coordination:

Plan and manage press events, media briefings, and public engagements.Assist in the organization of conferences, webinars, and other PR-related events.

Monitoring and Reporting/Administrative:

Track media coverage and prepare reports to measure the impact of PR activities.Provide insights and recommendations based on media analysis.Others duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of Asana, Muck Rack, and Cision.Experience creating reports and tracking metricsStrong project management skillsStrong writing skills, including proofing and editorialAbility to adapt plans and strategies in light of new information and goalsExperience or interest in interacting with the public at eventsExperience tracking and reporting, and analyzing from the reports

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, with a focus on media relations.Proven track record of securing media coverage and managing PR campaigns.Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling content.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and facilitation skillsExcellent organization, planning and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activitiesAbility to manage multiple projectsManage projects from start to completionAbility to develop professional relationships with department membersReliable and punctual
