Job Summary: The SEO specialist is responsible for using analytics and insights todevelop and optimizedigital content with the goal of increasing website visibility ranking in search engines and driving more organic traffic. As a member of Strategic Marketing and Communications and the university's Web Collaboration Center, the candidate will develop and execute SEO strategy for content that elevates the Temple's reputation and drives enrollment. In collaboration with colleagues including writers, user experience researchers, and web developers, the SEO specialist will develop and inform content that is user-oriented, valuable, usable, sharable, findable and measurable. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO principles and excellent analytical, writing and communication skills. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of directly related experience in communications, marketing, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience with Google AdWords, Google Analytics and Google Search Console Essential Functions:

Develop original content that is optimizedfor search engines Analyze, review and revise existing content to boost SEO Possess deep knowledge of SEO best practices, website analytics, search engine algorithms and ranking factors. Stay abreast of analytics and insights and uses that data to inform all work. Monitor and analyze website performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and track progress. Optimize on-page elements such as meta tags, headings and URLs to improve search engine rankings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and university partners to provide SEO guidance and support projects. Researchindustry trends to ensure SEO strategy aligns with current best practices. Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities. Regularly communicate project updates to supervisor, project leadership and department leadership. Develop and execute effective linking strategiesto improve the website's authority and credibility.
