The Director of Brand Marketing – Air Category is responsible for developing and executing brand marketing strategies that drive awareness and sales growth for the air category, including airplanes, helicopters, and replacement parts. This position is responsible for being the brand steward, directing the brand voice, positioning, and content development to drive awareness and unique brand value within the RC market. The Director of Brand Marketing is the voice of the customer, driving those insights into the business. In collaboration with Product Development teams, they will lead their team in the messaging, positioning, and go-to-market plans for new and existing products. This position will oversee brand website content, manage the social media presence, and collaborate on email/SMS contact strategies. Execution of marketing efforts will be done in collaboration with the Horizon Marketing team, eCommerce, and Wholesale Sales teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

· P&L management, driving the business to meet the divisional financial goals and objectives.

· Lead the transition of the Air Brands Marketing team to a digital-first, insight-driven, customer-fanatic team.

· Develop and execute brand marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives and drive revenue growth.

· Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth of air brands.

· Provide direction, content, and feedback to Digital Marketing, CRM, Creative, and eCommerce teams to ensure the optimal advertising, promotions, tradeshows, publicity, online content, merchandising, and all other brand promotion activities are executed with excellence.

· Collaborate with product development and creative teams to define product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans for new and existing products.

· Lead the development and execution of product launch plans, including development of a full go-to-market plan and timeline.

· Coordinating product demos, collateral development, and sales training for your respective products and brands.

· Develop a wholesale and proprietary product support strategy. Work closely with the DTC and Sales teams to ensure effective communication of product messaging and sales enablement.

· Develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive sales performance across channels.

· Monitor and report on product performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement to the product development and sales teams.

· Analyze marketing campaign effectiveness, manage the Marketing budget, and adjust strategies accordingly.

· Monitor and manage the voice for brand social media channels and engagement in other key online communities.

Education and/or Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required.

· 7+ years of experience in product marketing or related field.

· 4+ years of experience in marketing leadership.

· P&L management experience.

· Must be able to build a business case to show ROI.

· Deep understanding of brand strategies and effective multi-channel marketing campaigns.

· Experience building go-to-market plans and executing them with success.

· Strong analytical skills and experience conducting market research and competitive analysis.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills.

· Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a team environment.

· Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Experience with product launch planning and execution.

· Experience with RC a plus, but not required.

· The ideal candidate is located near Ontario, CA or Champaign, IL
