Infrastructure Design Lead

This Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with the Technology Project Manager and Engagement Manager to provide fully documented infrastructure technology solutions based on standard product offerings. Will be responsible for documenting and understanding the current environment for each design request. Will also interface with the Midrange Standards and Infrastructure Engineering teams to understand current technology trends and review technology standards.
W2 ONLY. No C2C. Candidates must be able to work on a hybrid schedule onsite 3 days a week.
Description:
1 - Infrastructure design experience - will utilize Visio to design infrastructure environment for server migrations
2 - Strong technical engineering background with Operating systems, hardware, linux/windows/AIX, storage (must understand NAS vs SAN), middleware (weblogic/websphere), VMware and cloud computing (may not be strong but should be familiar)
3 - Technical requirements gathering - will work with application/business unit owners to define what they need from an infrastructure perspective in order to appropriately host their new application or modification to existing application. They will also have to communicate this to the technical teams and facilitate the architecture
• Responsible for providing security expertise. Provides baseline security standards and policies for multiple projects of high complexity.
• Maintaining a consistent focus throughout the design project on the customer and business goals of the project.
• Work with the client to understanding Business Requirements by reviewing the Business Requirements Document
