Your task is to grow the tribe, using the data pros you’ll have on tap as well as your gut notions of crowd-pleasing content.Another huge part of this role is taking stewardship of the site’s editorial voice (smart, independent, knowledgeable, impassioned), shepherding it along, keeping it as beloved as ever while convincing the outside world to take it even more seriously than it already does.If you like things quantified, think of your job as being 40% editor, 60% strategist, with an unmeasurable dollop of visionary.Key requirements include: groundedness intermixed with wild ambition; a deep sense of what audiences want and how to give it to them; an ability to collect and interpret data to drive business decisions; and a passion for pop culture, especially TV and movies. You should embody the key traits of the tribe: pure love of TV and movies, unabashed fandom, and endless delight in discussion.You’re also a proven leader of people, able to select the right talent to lead teams and inspire them to deliver.
