Is this the role you are looking for If so read on for more details, and make sure to apply today.Dec 07, 2020ProfileWhat We’re Looking For:The Senior Vice President (SVP), People will be responsible for overseeing the Human Resources Business Partner and Organizational Development functions in the United States of 2U’s People team. This team is responsible for providing thought partnership on human resources strategy and workforce planning for the global 2U team. They will build strong consulting relationships with their key business clients to ensure alignment business plans, and objectives and the execution of people strategy. Additionally, they will act as a key business partner across all people and organizational matters. This role is located in our HQ in Lanham, MD and reports directly to our Chief People Officer.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:Works closely with the executive team to develop & execute human capital strategies that effectively support and enhance our overall business strategies.Implement and maintain effective succession and development plans appropriate for supporting and sustaining the company’s transformation.As a key member of the People Organization senior leadership team has shared accountability for the strategic goals and operational execution of people strategy across the organization.Participates in the design and management of workforce planning strategies for all levels. Ensure that these programs enhance the company’s ability to attract, retain and motivate a skilled and diverse workforce.Proactively ensures alignment between the people strategy and functional leaders business plans and operational goals globally by advising on all HR general consulting activities including recruiting, talent management, talent development, organizational design, performance management, succession and workforce planning.Drives, advises and executes on organizational change efforts, initiatives or alignments including engaging the HR team SMEs across the relevant disciplines, leading the business teams, analyzing data and making recommendations to ensure best outcome for the business.Develops and manages the team of People Strategists and Human Resource Business Partners that are responsible for advising business leaders and their teams in promoting a high performance culture of accountability and results orientation.Continuously stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the HR space.Things That Should Be In Your Background:15 years of progressive HR management experience including 5 years as a senior HR Leader.BS/BA required; Masters preferred; PHR or SHRM certification preferred.Broad exposure to a variety of Human Resources functions, including HR strategy, culture development, change management, employee retention, workforce planning, organization development.Proven and successful experience leading organizational design initiatives, succession planning and career pathing.Able to establish a constructive and informative relationship with employees, management and executives.A leader with a proven track record of delivering results.High level of personal integrity, ethics, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills.Broad business sense as well as demonstrated HR-specific competencies.Capacity to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels in the organization.Ability to present ideas in an easy-to-understand and engaging manner.Proven ability to challenge and motivate management teams to foster innovation in an atmosphere of mutual respect and inclusion.Success developing and directly managing teams with a wide span of control.Global HR experience highly desired.About 2U Inc.
