The right candidate will know what makes great social content, how to engage and manage communities at scale, and how to elicit actions from consumers. You are as much a student of culture as you are the creator of it, constantly immersed in what’s new across social and the internet, monitoring both to identify how it might benefit El Pollo Loco, the QSR industry, and culture. Lastly, you’re escalating and/or amplifying real-time opportunities to create impactful content or experiences (your bias for action is second to none).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead efforts to keep El Pollo Loco at the forefront of online conversations.Lead efforts to turn El Pollo Loco into a first-to-market brand regarding cultural and/or internet trends.Iterate on and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that is aligned with El Pollo Loco’s overall program and business objectives.Ideate, design, and/or film shareable and compelling content to drive engagement, either in collaboration with the in-house design team or on their own.Lead, develop and manage content and editorial calendars to support planned and reactive content.Respond to and amplify daily opportunities with high-profile social accounts and/or surprise-and-delight opportunities with the community, in partnership with the PR agency.Foster and nurture a vibrant online fandom through active engagement and timely response to comments, messages, and mentions.Monitor social media channels for user-generated content, trends and conversations relevant to the brand for inspiration and reactive opportunities.Manage local listings and reviews to ensure response rate and timeliness.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media into broader marketing campaigns.Develop monthly reports to track and analyze social performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies and improve overall social media effectiveness.Partner with media agency to optimize content for each channel, driving relevancy and purchase.Support social influencer relations and activations by identifying influencers that are authentic fans of the brand and ideating unique gifts and activations for influencers.QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the job. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or related experience.3+ years proven experience creating content and managing social media channels for comparable brand(s).License/Certifications:

Valid driver’s license is required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices.A deep appreciation for culture and internet trends.Strong creative and strategic thinking skills; knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, Capcut, and other social media editing tools preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in social media management tools like Sprout Social and analytics platforms.Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.Proactive, forward-thinking, and agile approach to social media and community management with the customer always being first.Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong presentation skills.Good listening skills, a natural people-orientation, and openness to ideas, suggestions, and constructive feedback.Company & CultureFor over 40 years El Pollo Loco has dominated the market in delivering the best citrus-marinated fire-grilled chicken. From our products to our people, we’re truly amazing!The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria. Individual pay will vary based on a variety of factors including years of experience, industry experience, education, geography, etc.
