GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.This position is responsible for contributing to the growth of the business and increasing profits by performing sales and marketing functions.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Weight: 80%)Performs Sales• Develop and implement sales plans and pricing strategies• Negotiate with current and potential customers to close sales proposals• Coordinate all aspects of sales for assigned region(s) and accounts• Maintain inventory levels and evaluate internal and external production and quality control reports• Participate in sales meetings• Prepare sales reports for Management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis• Coordinate all other aspects of sales operations including logistics and warehousing as necessaryPerforms Marketing Functions• Develop and execute targeted product marketing strategies• Develop and deliver presentations• Coordinate marketing operations for assigned region(s)• Research market trends via magazines, advertisements, websites, trade shows, and other industry events to create sales leads• Identify and follow up on all sales leads through market research, inquiries received, and referrals from suppliers or distributors• Establish, enhance, and maintain relations with current and potential customersManages and Expands Customer Accounts• Contact customers regularly via telephone, e-mail, letters, and in-person to ascertain their needs and keep business and information flowing smoothly• Liaise between customers and customer service staff members• Follow up on past-due accounts to ensure all collections are completed• Provide price quotes, proposals, and credit terms to current and prospective customers• Visit current and prospective customers to make product presentations• Monitor customer order patterns and follow up with customers on irregularities or missed orders or to reactivate inactive accounts• Identify and propose solutions to customer needs or problems in a timely mannerIncreases Profits• Reviews and signs invoices• Analyzes sales trends, logistics trends, operating efficiency, product presentations, monthly financials, and best practices and making appropriate modifications in order to maximize profit• Research and identify potential customers• Develop proactive sales methods including end user customer presentations, phone sales, and new business opportunities at trade shows and industry events• Ensure accuracy of transactions and payments• Negotiate and enter into contracts with vendors, suppliers, and warehouse and logistics providers to maximize quality and efficiencyEXPERIENCE/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDMathematical Skills• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Skills• Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions.• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.• Ability to analyze and use various documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.).Computer Skills• Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and be able to design custom reports as necessary.• SAP/Main 21 a plusOther Skills• Must be tactful, mature, flexible, and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.• Must be able to understand regulations and procedures relating to international trade and logistics.Education• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university.• Two to five years related experience and/or training.• OR Equivalent combination of education and experience/training.
