Design Assistant

Job Overview:Marvista Design + Build is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Design Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Design Assistant will play a key role in assisting designers with various tasks, contributing to the success of our Design + Build projects. This role requires a strong attention to detail, creative thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment.Responsibilities:1. Materials Management:- Obtain quotes for materials and create purchase orders.- Maintain meticulous tracking and inventory of all materials used in projects.2. Client Presentation and Materials Preparation:- Prepare presentation boards, drawings, and material samples for client meetings.- Assist in creating visually appealing and informative presentations.3. Design Library and Vendor Management:- Organize and manage the design library, ensuring materials and samples are readily accessible.- Keep vendor information and resources up-to-date.4. Support to Design Team:- Collaborate closely with Designers to provide overall design and administrative support.- Assist in various design-related tasks as required.5. Content Creation:-Contribute to the creation of marketing collateral, including social media posts.**Requirements:**- Experience and Education:- 1-2 years of experience in Interior Design.- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field.- Software Proficiency:- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is essential.- Experience with 2020 Design software is a plus, but not required.- Collaborative Mindset:- A true team player who thrives in a creative and collaborative work environment.- Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks as projects evolve.- Organizational Skills:- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project requirements and deadlines.- Design Knowledge:- Demonstrates a strong understanding of cabinetry construction, layout, and spatial design concepts.Join our team at Marvista Design+Build, where creativity and innovation come together to create exceptional design solutions.
