The Development and Marketing Assistant at TFS contributes to the planning and implementation of fundraising and marketing initiatives that support the agency's overall mission of serving children and families. This position involves managing aspects of gift stewardship, including acknowledgment letters, receipt, and recognition, as well as maintaining the agency's fundraising database, developing marketing strategies and materials, and providing administrative support. This role will also expand awareness of TFS by engaging the public, attracting new audiences, and increasing the overall reach of TFS through social media, website management, digital marketing, advertising,and public relations.

Description:

Support the VP of Development and Communications with donor management through the organization and analysis of prospect research data, donor trends and opportunities to expand the agency's donor base.Execute all phases of the gift management process, including gift data entry, donor acknowledgement letters, reconciliation with the finance team, and digital records and reports.Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the agency fundraising database in order to measure the success of fundraising campaigns.Perform market research across the state of RI to better identify target donors.Devise and manage local marketing initiatives, including traditional and digital media.Develop innovative methods to reach potential service recipients, stakeholders, and donors.Manage agency social media pages and content calendar to foster engagement, reach and brand awareness.Provide written content and graphic elements for branded emails, social media posts, campaigns, and marketing materials.Collect, analyze and report data to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of marketing efforts.Help identify opportunities for new content and PR-based projects that drive organizational objectives.Provide excellent customer service and effectively interface with outside constituents, consultants, and vendors.Communicate effectively and maintain relations with clients, team members, and funders.Assist with additional administrative support as needed and all other duties as assigned.Requirements

4-year degree, preferably Marketing, Advertising, or a related field preferred.Entry-level marketing experience with a minimum of 2-4 years in coordinating marketing and/or advertising campaigns, including online placements.Self-starter who can work independently as part of a team.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Unparalleled communication, writing, and editing skills required.Ability to adapt and pick up new techniques.Keen eye for graphic design, attention to detail, and creativity.Proficiency with various social media platforms including Twitter (X), Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn.Interest and knowledge of current events and marketing trends within specific geographic area(s).

Salary Description

$42,000-$47,500
