Summary

The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) is a not-for-profit corporation that serves as the real estate developer and property manager of the Yard on behalf of its owner, the City of New York. BNYDC strives to provide an environment in which innovative companies can take root and grow.

The Senior Coordinator of Digital Marketing will promote the Brooklyn Navy Yard as a signature business opportunity in New York City's industrial and commercial real estate space by creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns. As the integral lead of digital marketing functions, you will ensure the strength and continuity of BNYDC's brand across all platforms. A commitment to understanding the importance of urban manufacturing, workforce development and key industries like the green economy is essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

Digital Marketing:• Support marketing department strategy, turning key tactics into digital and social initiatives• Produce content across all platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.• Manage social media and promotional calendars• Manage social media activations, email marketing, and streamlining of Eventbrite operations• Manage email marketing and provide consultation on content and format• Maintain website and related content, making updates as needed• Monitor general Marketing inbox and field inquiries as appropriate• Conduct periodic analysis and report on various data related to trends, competitors, audience and conversion analytics, etc.• Assist with graphic executions as needed

Project and Creative Management:• Act as the department's "account coordinator" across internal and external working groups• Manage projects related to campaigns, consumer and tenant-based projects, promotional, leasing, programming and sponsorship activations• Traffic current assets to media partners in accordance with Director of Marketing guidance• Help define standard operating procedures to improve workflows• Create and maintain various digital resources, creative assets, print collateral, and EA databases• Support the implementation of brand attributes and adherence to brand standards• Support promotional campaigns and manage collateral for various departments

Required Skills and Abilities:• Passion for brands, marketing, and experience with campaign strategy• Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills• Passion for social media content creation and best practices• Some knowledge of advertising principles, strategies and techniques• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)• Knowledge of marketing specific programs such as Meta paid tools, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, WordPress and Canva Pro

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree• 2-4 years of professional experience in marketing communications
