About the Role:

As a Communications Program Manager, you will lead efforts to shape and execute strategic communication initiatives for mission-critical identity services. You will oversee a team responsible for creating and implementing communication plans that enhance public awareness, drive stakeholder engagement, and support the rollout of advanced identity solutions. Your role will involve developing messaging strategies, managing multimedia content, and ensuring that communication efforts are aligned with the organization’s strategic goals. This position offers the opportunity to lead high-impact projects that contribute to national security and public safety.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Serve as the project manager, responsible for all work performed and ensuring successful project execution within a defined scope, budget, and timeline.

Provide oversight and leadership to the team, ensuring day-to-day operations align with project goals and objectives.

Develop, implement, and manage communication plans for a biometric program, ensuring consistent messaging across multiple platforms and audiences.

Coordinate multimedia communication efforts, including creating briefing materials, fact sheets, presentations, and videos.

Manage public relations, social media, and outreach activities to promote services and related initiatives.

Lead the team in supporting change management efforts, especially related to modernization and service transitions.

Ensure efficient communication and collaboration between the team and key stakeholders, serving as the primary liaison to ensure effective, timely communication.

Provide expert technical and management leadership on tasks, establishing goals that meet project objectives.

Location:

You will work as part of a dynamic team in Springfield, Virginia.

Required Experience/Skills:

Master’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, or a similar role, with experience supporting mid-scale programs.

Proven project management experience, with expertise in leading complex contracts and ensuring successful delivery.

Strong background in developing and executing strategic communication plans

Proficiency in multimedia communications, including video production, website management, and social media content development.

Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience developing communication strategies and products for both internal and external audiences.

Previous experience supporting biometric-related efforts of similar scale and complexity

Familiarity with government communication protocols, change management processes, and strategic outreach within interagency and intergovernmental environments.

An active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI) access.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

Familiarity with content management systems such as Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI.

Previous experience supporting DHS
