The Role

:

We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned domain expert in the Treasury and Trade Services (TTS)/Transaction Banking space to lead our Global Product Marketing function. This role will report to the Global Head of Product and Segment Marketing.

The Product Marketing Director will be a senior-level executive who oversees the marketing of TTS products. They will play a crucial role in understanding the market, defining the product’s position within that market, and communicating its value to both internal teams and potential customers.

This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and close collaboration with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure the product’s success in the market.

The Product Marketing Director leads the strategy behind how our products are brought to market, positioned, and sold. They are responsible for crafting compelling messaging, identifying target customer segments, and developing marketing plans that drive demand and adoption of the product.

The ultimate goals of the Product Marketing Director will be to establish TTS products as market leaders, drive revenue growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Given Product Marketing’s role and close partnership with functions (Sales, Products, Regions, and other Marketing organizations), the team will drive horizontal client facing content and cross-product solutions across all TTS business areas. The key to success of this role will be ability to build trusted partnerships with wide range of stakeholders across TTS. As the Product Marketing Director, this role will collaborate closely with both global and regional teams to assist driving the client agenda.

The individual will drive the global strategy and execution of two key pillars:



Cross Product Solutions Development and Commercialization

Develop and commercialize integrated solutions comprising thematic content and relevant analytics, ultimately delivering incremental value to our clients.

Enhance client targeting and segmentation through analytics for integrated solutions working in coordination with Sales (Inc Inside Sales) and Data & Analytics teams.

Coordination with Sales and Data & Analytics teams to ensure the prioritization and development of high impact data tools.

Lead global go-to-market strategy and messaging for new and existing products, develop positioning that differentiates the product in the market, manage product launches and releases and promote the product both internally and externally.

Produce content and enablement materials for internal teams and empower our Sales teams with playbooks, customer stories, competitive positioning and a strong feedback loop between sales, product, and product commercialization teams.

Sit on the leadership of the Product GTM Experiences team and advocate for an understanding of our customer through research and discovery work, translating their needs to influence our product roadmaps and to implement marketing strategies.

Integrated Content Quality and Management

Assist the Product teams in developing enhanced and integrated content for our client ecosystems and growth missions capturing TTS’ value to solve relevant client needs.

Coordinate content creation from a client perspective across liquidity, payments (including commercial cards), trade, platform & data services and partnerships & innovation.

Coordination of content approvals with relevant second line functions including compliance and legal.

Work closely with other Marketing teams to align the product positioning to TTS umbrella messaging framework and manage the distribution of relevant client content materials.

Content ownership across the TTS content repository.

Develop the company and product positioning, messaging, and storytelling to establish Citi TTS as the leader across our markets.

Key responsibilities will include:

Developing Marketing Strategies

: Crafting and executing comprehensive marketing plans to promote products and achieve business goals.

Market Research:

Conducting market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Product Positioning:

Defining product positioning, messaging, and value propositions to differentiate the product in the market.

Go-to-Market Planning:

Developing go-to-market strategies, including launch plans, promotional activities, and sales enablement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Working closely with product management, sales, and other departments to ensure that marketing strategies are aligned with product capabilities and sales objectives, enabling successful product launches.

Content Creation:

Overseeing the creation of marketing content, such as product collateral, white papers, case studies, and sales tools.

Performance Tracking:

Analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives, and making data-driven adjustments.

Customer Engagement:

Building relationships with customers and understanding their feedback to improve product offerings and marketing strategies.

Budget Management:

Managing the marketing budget and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Leadership:

Leading and mentoring a team of marketing professionals.

Specific Skills Required:

This is a role requiring ability to work effectively and in partnership all across TTS, champion progress, problem solve and lead change. Strategic thinking, excellent communication, and a commercial mindset are pivotal to success. Someone who is an independent thinker with an entrepreneurial attitude, natural collaborator with the ability to lead complex cross functional projects would be an ideal fit with 10-15 years broad experience in transaction banking, including client facing and/or product experience.

Creativity in both logic and visual design when crafting solutions and messages for clients

Excellent communication and presentation skills – verbal, visual and written – for internal and external purposes

Collaborative nature, able to engage with a diverse range of individuals of all levels and gain support from colleagues, even when they do not report directly to you

Analytical mindset to take various initiatives and sources and translate into thematic content and messaging

Strong discipline to manage Product Marketing budget spend

Competency Skills:

Strong managerial skills to lead a global team

Ability to influence people across a wide range of functions and disciplines

Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous, long-term initiatives and priorities activities

Desire to work in a collaborative environment supporting multiple individuals

Ability to think critically and solve non-traditional problems / bridge key gaps

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing , Business Administration, Communications or related field., required. Master's Degree preferred.
