Vascular Access –

Built on a history of innovation, our Arrow® brand of technically advanced vascular access devices are renowned throughout the world. Many of our vascular access products have antimicrobial and antithrombogenic protection designed to reduce vascular-related complications and include long and short dwell central venous catheters (CVC), sheath introducers, arterial lines, peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), as well as specialty devicesand an advanced vascular positioning system to facilitate precise placement of a PICC or CVC near the heart. Position Summary

In collaboration with the Vice-President of Marketing, lead, manage and oversee execution of the North American marketing plan for downstream activities. Ensure product, promotional and clinical program alignment to strategy to achieve the growth and profit expectation for the North American business unit.

Principal Responsibilities

• Manage and develop direct and indirect staff, attract top talent and provide profesional development opportunties to staff.

• Provide the leadership necessary to direct the business in its mission to achieve the sales, gross margin and contribution profit objectives established by the Vascular division.

• Provide strategic guidance and supervise marketing and product managers. Act as passionate change agent to develop and expand specified market segments.

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives by optimizing resources across the Vascular team. In conjunction with manager, develop the annual North American operating plan for the Vascular Access business.

• Lead North American marketing launch plans for new products, clinical programs, and product improvements programs. Conduct market surveys, market research, and product evaluations for line extensions and support product evaluations for new produc introductions.

• Provide all support to sales function to achieve annual sales plan and margin targets for the Vascular Access business.

• Develop and maintain OpEx and T&E budgets while ensuring a forecast acuracy of ±5%

• Work closely with Strategic Marketing relateive to phase-gate process, product positioning / messaging and forecasting for new product opportunities.

• Understand of healthcare reform and economic environment; ability to translate understanding to messaging within North American Vascular promotional strategy.

• Effective management of agency(ies) and vendors to ensure on-time project completion, within budget. Support RFI/RFP processes for GPO bids.

• Lead the marketing activities around becoming a solution provide that includes developing advertising and sales promotion programs, brochures, ads, slides, posters, and specification booklets. Manage relationships with external vendors as needed.

• Lead the development of clinical papers, white papers and other resources needed to drive thought leadership.

• Establish strong KOL partnerships to ensure robust understanding of customer unmet needs to establish differentiated value propositions, deeper customer segmentation and buying criteria and needs.

• Develop pricing strategy and achieve price increase determined by the operating plan.

• Maintain extensive knowledge of competitive offering and strategies.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice-President of Marketing.

• Adhere to and ensure compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.

• 10+ years of marketing experience, with a proven track record in the medical device industry.

• 5+ years of direct leadership experience, including managing large-scale commercialization efforts.

• Deep understanding of healthcare reform and its impact on marketing strategies.

• High level of business acumen and experience in managing complex projects across multiple teams.

• Ability to drive focus, prioritization and effective time / project management

• Self-starter, know-how to approach the job, passionate about the industry

• Understand medical regulatory landscape

• Demonstrate practical application of successful marketing / business / portfolio management concepts

• Knowledge of measurement and analysis of commercial effectiveness
