The Role

The Netflix Games Design team is searching for a highly ambitious, visionary, and experienced Senior Product Designer who will lead the design of our Games Messaging experience. This role is key to crafting the consumer-facing features and notifications that will enhance how members discover, engage with, and experience games on the Netflix platform. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and design colleagues, as well as game developers, to create seamless, integrated messaging features that resonate across web, TV, and mobile.

This is a remote-friendly role (within the US), with the freedom to set your own work-from-home schedule. When safe and reasonable, there will be opportunities to meet onsite in Los Gatos and Los Angeles for meaningful collaboration and team bonding.

The Netflix Games team is on a mission to deliver games to millions of members across mobile, web, and TV. As we expand our games platform, we’re focused on creating a unified messaging system that seamlessly integrates games and SVOD notifications, and enhances player engagement through personalized, timely, and contextually relevant communication. This role will be pivotal in defining how messaging drives game discovery, social interactions, and player support, ensuring a best-in-class experience for our members.

What You Will Do

Develop a strong, informed design point-of-view and unify the organization through a vision.

Identify, define and drive innovation initiatives and product features from concept through launch.

Collaborate with a small team of designers and cross-functional partners to explore, test, and evolve messaging experiences on Netflix.

Partner with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement new messaging platform features that can be utilized at scale.

Own the end-to-end design process—from blue sky design exploration to UX specs and quality UI designs, while working closely with cross-functional partners to balance polish and speed towards an effective execution.

Develop and maintain positive relationships and collaborations with partners and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

Proven Experience: 8+ years as a Product Designer (or equivalent experience) with a strong portfolio showcasing consumer-facing and platform design work.

Cross-Platform Expertise: Experience designing for mobile, web, and TV platforms, with a deep understanding of how to create cohesive experiences across devices.

Problem-Solving Skills: A track record of developing innovative solutions for complex design challenges, particularly in consumer engagement messaging and notifications.

Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to excite stakeholders and articulate a clear vision.

Even Better

Familiarity with game development, player engagement strategies, and the gaming ecosystem is a plus.

Experience with notification systems, messaging platforms, and consumer engagement tools.

A deep understanding of how to design for both technical and non-technical audiences, particularly in the gaming or entertainment industries.

Compensation Range

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $120,000 - $515,000
