We’re searching for a Director of Marketing to help lead that effort.Our marketing communications team is more than just a conduit for sharing Aurora's story with the world; we're passionate advocates for autonomy and problem solvers with a flair for creative storytelling coupled with analytical rigor and ability to execute flawlessly. Operating in the dynamic environment of a startup, we are driven by the opportunity to think big, build from the ground up, and scale our impact.In this role, you willDevelop and execute marketing strategy: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Aurora's business objectives and target audiences.Content creation and distribution: Oversee the creation of compelling and relevant content across Aurora’s marketing channels, including digital, social, events, and sales enablement.Digital marketing: Drive digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, PPC advertising, social media marketing, and email marketing, to generate leads and increase brand visibility.Event marketing: Develop and execute event marketing strategies, including trade shows, conferences, and owned events, to promote Aurora's brand and products, generate leads, and foster relationships with key stakeholders.Market research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the autonomous driving industry, and use insights to refine marketing strategies and tactics.Campaign management: Plan, execute, and measure marketing campaigns to effectively reach target audiences and achieve desired outcomes.Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to foster growth and maximize impact.Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Creative, Communications, Product, Engineering Business Development, Government Relations, and Investor Relations to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts with overall business objectives.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.Proven track record of success in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies in the technology or automotive industry.Demonstrated experience in brand management, digital marketing, content creation, event marketing, and campaign management.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve ambitious goals.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the automotive and transportation industry trends and technologies.Desirable QualificationsExpertise in developing and executing strategic initiatives and narratives that drive broad awareness, engagement, and tangible business results.Ability to quickly grasp the nuances of different businesses, including their vision, goals, products, and competitive landscapes, to produce differentiated communication strategies.Intellectual curiosity, exceptional creativity, and active listening skills.Captivated by self-driving technology.The base salary range for this position is $181,000 - $290,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
