JOB TITLE: Designer III

JOB SUMMARY:

The Designer III as a subject matter expert actively participates in the project design and production by performing architectural assignments. Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects. Under the direction of a Registered Architect, the Designer III is responsible for the production of complete, accurate, and well-coordinated documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Communicate with team, clients and consultant/contractor representatives effectivelyProficiency with required computer software (Revit, Autocad, Photoshop)Assist Project Manager and collaborate with Project Architect in coordinating necessary tasks for a variety of projectsEnsure accuracy and completion of all project related assignmentsPrepare and produce design and construction documents, including enlarged millwork detailsTranslate design concepts into floor and furniture plans, building assemblies and material/product specificationsStrong understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methodsPromote a collaborative team environmentComplete research as neededParticipate as appropriate in contract administrationTravel to Project Job Site or Design Office as required to facilitate design and construction under the direction of the Project ArchitectContribute as required to the overall quality and success of the project, studio and firmQUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an accredited architectural program with Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree8+ years’ experience in design and documentation of projectsDemonstrated ability to produce high quality design and architectural drawingsDemonstrated ability to make design and documentation decisions requiring discretion and good judgementAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionCurrently seeking license to become Registered Architect (preferred)SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
