SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Communications (MarCom) Intern will be responsible for coordinating and executing the company's social media strategy and providing strategic communication support for business development and growth initiatives. This position will mainly assist in the day-to-day operations of Providence's social media presence; planning, creating, scheduling, posting, and managing content for various social media campaigns for both employee and client relations to increase brand awareness. Tasks related to the creation of social media postings will reflect corporate goals and objectives that may include talent acquisition, business development pursuits, employee relations, and general marketing. This position will also support the growth and development of our firm by procuring, writing, organizing and distributing professional services marketing content (print and digital) for branding and/or business development purposes. Tasks could include project profiles, email campaigns, statement of professional qualifications, assistance with responding to requests for general proposals and or qualifications, and the creation of marketing collateral for conferences, special events, or other marketing tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) :

Must be currently enrolled in school at a community college or university level.Prefer a Mass Communication, Journalism, or Marketing major.Knowledge and understanding of AP Stylebook.Able to work independently and strong attention to detail.Experience in digital marketing/social media marketing required.Impeccable oral and written communication skillsMastery of major social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X, and TikTokKnowledge of social media analytics software to track audience engagement and campaign performance a plus.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred or similar creative design applications.ATTRIBUTES:

Assist with the design and execution of all social media campaigns.Create editorial social media calendars to promote company brand on various social media platforms.Create marketing content for digital and traditional news outlets as needed.Perform social media marketing research and apply trends to social media channels as appropriate.Write social media captions that speak to the target audience identified in marketing plan.Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.Create compelling graphics to share across social channels and for use in other marketing tools (flyers, proposals, email blasts, conference ads, etc.).Support Marketing and Business Development Team as neededCreate marketing content (non-technical) to use for business development or marketing purposesEnsure corporate brand messaging is consistent and follows corporate policies.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
