Job Description
The Designer is responsible for:
Reporting into the Engineering ManagerDesigning and estimating projectsInteracting with clients/customers to understand what they want to do (and designing it)Analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimatesCollaborating with various parties (architects, subs, etc.) to gather necessary informationOnsite - typically working with an existing buildingCheck out HVAC on projects and speak to customer to understand what they want to do and design itMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The right candidate has the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience as a designer in the construction industry - ideally with a Mechanical contractor (or engineering firm)Ideally background in MEP, HVAC, or Commercial - Academic, Healthcare, Lifescience projectsStrong analytical and mathematical skillsExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracySelf-sufficient & eager to growProficiency in AutoCAD MEP and RevitWhat's on Offer
The Designer will receive:
