22426E-ONE manufactures custom and commercial fire trucks including pumpers and tankers, aerial ladders and platforms, rescues of all sizes, quick attack units, industrial trucks, and ARFF (aircraft rescue firefighting vehicles).

Assists in design, development, and implementation of technical products and systems. Prepares creative designs or related drawings or details; uses designs to develop specifications or estimates of materials needed for a project. May perform drafting duties requiring the use of CAD equipment or systems. Provides guidance to more junior designers or to drafters. Applies engineering or architectural principles to the design of buildings/structures and their components or assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with designing and developing a variety of moderate complexity products and/or components; assist with creating and reviewing material part specifications and bills of materialsUse CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) software to develop the structural design of various products, model new designs, and produce detailed engineering drawingsVerify designs through use of calculations and other analytical techniques and toolsUnderstand manufacturing processes with emphasis on metal fabrication and assembliesApply DFM methodologies to deliver robust engineering packages emphasizing productivity in the manufacturing processFulfill customer requirements (i.e., shop orders) considering design rules and all applicable interface pointsDefine test requirements and interpret test results to validate designsIdentify problems, root causes and be able to define & execute resolutionsUnderstand and use lean principles as they apply to manufacturing and business processesExecute engineering changes through established processes and documentationCommit to excellence and high standardsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Associate's Degree of Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent education requiredTypically requires 2-4 years of related experienceWork Environment/Conditions:
