If so, our Defense Systems wants you to join our team as a Senior Principal Graphic Artist. This position is located at Edwards AFB, or Palmdale, CA. In this position you will actually have work at both locations, but seated in one location or the other.You will be responsible for leading a team of graphic illustrators, providing leadership of the staff, work assignments, schedules, task analysis, day to day workflow, proposal support, and program status reporting.You will use your expertise in the conception of designs and layouts, coordination of editorial illustrations and creative artwork, transfer of data and features of subject material into graphic terms, and researching engineering data, tech manuals, and other subject matter to develop and sustain training materials and technical publications.Specific duties include:+ Performs all aspects of scheduling, task assignments, work performance, and supports hiring activities.+ Monitors daily operations of assigned work unit, monitors progress, and actively assists and provides direction to subordinates as required.+ Serves as the primary point of contact for all graphic development and product sustainment and interacts with client to understand project requirements, timelines, resources available, and existing assets to leverage.+ Performs QA reviews and applicable testing to ensure products meet objectives, quality standards, and program goals.+ Prepares reports, conducts briefings, and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations.+ Serves as liaison between subordinates and program management staff, reporting status of projects, program phases, staffing, schedules, and budgets.+ Provides input to the preparation of task order proposals, business plans, work statements and specifications, operating budgets and other management work products.NGSkillsBasic Qualifications:+ A minimum of 14 years of direct relevant experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. 10 years with Bachelor’s degree or 8 years with Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Computer Science, or related discipline may also be considered.+ Significant exposure/experience with aspects of graphic design and development to properly direct those technical requirements for execution is required.+ Familiarity with project planning, resource allocation and budgeting, and a capability to lead a team of experienced technical illustrators and graphic designers.+ Moderate to advanced computer skills such as Adobe, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and 2D/3D graphic utility software.+ A current DoD Secret clearance.+ The ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.Preferred Qualifications:+ A current TOP SECRET clearance.+ Experience leading or supervising a technical team.+ Proficiency in data development, electronic technical publications, training development, or graphic illustrations.+ Experience with IsoDraw, CATIA V5, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D media development software (SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author/Right Hemisphere, 3D Studio Max, 3DVIA Composer, or Solidworks).**Salary Range:** $100,000 - $150,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
