This senior leadership role is responsible for enhancing the company’s reputation, engaging key stakeholders, and ensuring consistent, impactful messaging across all communication channels. The successful candidate will work closely with communications counterparts in other business units within the CSL group to ensure alignment and synergy. They will also oversee a global team of communications professionals supporting the CSL Behring Business Unit and report to the Head / CSL Behring/CSL Vifor CEA BP.Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement a comprehensive global communications strategy aligned with Behring’s business objectives and values.Lead and manage a high-performing global communications team, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination across regions.Provide thought leadership on communication trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Delivering the CEA Plan:

Play a critical role in delivering the group’s Corporate and External Affairs (CEA) plan.Drive the company’s reputation tailored to the audiences of this business unit.

Brand and Reputation Management:

Oversee the development and management of the company’s brand.Proactively manage the company’s reputation through strategic media relations.Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends.

External Communications:

Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets.Oversee the creation and dissemination of press releases and communication materials.

Internal Communications:

Develop and implement internal communication strategies.Oversee the production of internal newsletters and intranet content.Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and nurture relationships with critical stakeholders.Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans.Represent the company at industry conferences and public forums.

Patient Community Engagement:

Develop and implement strategies to engage with the patient community.Foster partnerships with patient advocacy organizations.Facilitate patient input into communication strategies.

Collaboration Across Business Units:

Work closely with communications counterparts in other business units.Share best practices and coordinate on group-wide communication initiatives.

Content Development and Management:

Oversee the creation of high-quality content for various communication channels.Ensure that all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with the company’s brand.Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts.

Crisis Communication:

Develop and implement crisis communication plans.Serve as the primary spokesperson during crises.Coordinate with internal teams for unified responses.

Team Leadership:

Lead a team of Communications professionals.Ensure consistent messaging and alignment with overall company strategy.Ensure effective collaboration within the Communications team.

Advisory Role:

Provide strategic communication insights and guidance.

Active Participation in Communicator Community:

Be an active part of the group’s wider Communicator community.Share knowledge and insights with peers.Participate in group-wide initiatives to enhance communication practices.

QualificationsAdvanced degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations.Proven track record of developing and executing successful global communication strategies.Deep understanding of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical regulatory environment.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to think strategically and analytically.High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity.Our BenefitsCSL employees that work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits effective day 1.
