Position Summary This position will be responsible for creating an editorial mission, vision, voice, and strategies that align with brand and business goals, resulting in powerful and effective storytelling that engages existing and draws in new fans, ultimately supporting revenue streams. This position will have a team of creators that feed social media, in-arena, and broadcast content, establishing consistent narratives and style but customized for each medium.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive strategic content plan across all mediums (social media, website, in-game, broadcast) in support of the overarching brand strategy, also ensuring that all brand standards and guidelines are adhered to.Oversee the development of content that includes but is not limited to: video (long/short form), photography, vlogs, podcasts, written (long/short form), infographics, graphics, data visualization, PowerPoint templates and any new method of content. Ensure that the content on each platform is appropriate and connects with the audience.Work with corporate sales to develop content franchise ideas that can be pitched and sold to potential marketing partners.Ensure brand identity is consistent across all expressions of the brand: social & digital media, event presentation, ticket and partnership presentations and collateral, event material and advertising materials.Test and learn, then analyze data for viewing, engagement, and sales optimization.Develop executive summaries informed by measurement tools to track content performance and adjust tactics as needed.Ensure clear processes are in place for staff efficiencies and meeting of deadlines.Collaborate with other departments and with Mohegan Sun marketing and content to share vision and create better stories.Ensure event presentation is entertaining and engaging for all fans and executed flawlessly.Create an environment that is open to creative flow, inspiring, and results in frequent ideation and brainstorming sessions in person or on sharing tools.Secondary Duties And Responsibilities
Stay informed on content trends and emerging platforms.Stay informed of new equipment and technology, in addition to new shooting and creative techniques for the development of engaging content in and out of the arena.Constant engagement with popular culture to determine how the CT Sun can participate.Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures.Effective utilization of Mohegan Sun Evaluation programs.Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment.Training Requirements
Understanding of music licensing and legal compliance.Excellent knowledge of Time & Attendance system and Manager Self Service systems.Knowledge of Mohegan Sun budget planning and analysis process and procedures.Mohegan Sun CER and purchasing procedures.Physical Demands And Work Environment

Bachelor’s Degree in communications, graphic design, the arts, or another related field.8+ years of experience in content, production, publishing, or sports/entertainment related roles; digital and/or traditional media background preferred.Must understand each job on a production set, the differences, and the specific needs pertaining to specific shoots such as Gaffers / G&E's / Grips / PA's / Set Designers.Must be able to understand equipment needed for each shoot to rent.Experience working with design, VFX, and production teams.Strong critical thinking and analysis capabilities.A creative eye with strong judgment on what will be appreciated by fans and the ability to take mundane, dry content and make it fun and engaging.Exceptional leadership and culture-building capabilities.Strong, clear communication skills; ability to present at all levels.Sharp attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, 15 years of experience in content/production.Mohegan Sun practices Native American Preference.
