**Summary:**Twisted Pixel is an award-winning game development studio. We are working on a new VR game and looking for an experienced quality assurance team member to join in the fun.The perfect QA Tester / Analyst for our team is detail-oriented, a self-starter, a team-player, and has experience working cross-discipline with an understanding of the full game development cycle. As a QA Tester / Analyst, you will split your time between utilizing your excellent problem-solving skills to find and resolve various in-game issues both through downstream devices and in Editor. You will be expected to fulfill technical testing needs, data analytics, supporting and assisting the QA Manager to suggest and test critical testing tools and ensuring overall quality of the product. In this role, you will spend multiple hours in a VR headset daily. You will be highly collaborative but also have the ability to stay focused when in an isolated environment. Clear communication skills are a must to relay key information to the team and stakeholders, and drive knowledge sharing. You will be expected to communicate QA concepts clearly and reliably, tailoring your delivery to your audience. Now let’s go make games!**Required Skills:**QA Tester / Analyst, Twisted Pixel Game Studio Responsibilities:1. Work closely with cross-functional partners to understand product specifics allowing you to craft, continuously improve and execute corresponding test strategies, as well as hunt out defects to help ship a high quality VR game2. Define, develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality of software products and leveraging offsite resources for support3. Serve as subject matter specialist, providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements and help identify quality improvements in all aspects of the game4. Communicate promptly with Stakeholders - reaching out to stakeholders to confirm questions and information, and/or escalating serious defects5. Apply your strong sense of automation and efficiency, to define and suggest automation test strategies and utilize technical tooling to expand the breadth and depth of our QA coverage and improve efficiencies within the QA department6. Actively in a VR headset multiple hours a day (5-7hrs) in a fast paced app/game, identifying defects and quality concerns7. Perform highly specialized testing requiring base code or internal tools such as Perforce, VS Code Debugger, and Unreal Editor8. Install, setup, and maintain VR hardware and equipment9. Report and track data quality and utilize data visualization tools to drive conversations around risks, product quality and development health, and identify root cause10. Deep dive into test and dev tools as well as the bug database to define root cause of issues, assist the QA Manager in defining risk, and understanding current test coverage and gaps therein11. Team oriented, collaborative with ability to follow direction and work independently**Minimum Qualifications:**Minimum Qualifications:12. 3+ years of experience working on a team performing testing for games13. Experience with Testing Software such as Atlassian Suite, ClickUp, or TestRail14. Proven experience with problem-solving skills and attention to detail15. Experience working in a team environment where there are multiple levels of people and other disciplines16. Experience with creating advanced queries in Jira via JQL or related languages (R, Python, M, DAX)17. Proficient in crafting and executing test cases and test scripts to ensure top-notch quality18. In-depth understanding of Game Development Cycle, QA Strategy, root cause analysis and risk-management strategies19. Experience with data as demonstrated by experience with KPIs, data analytics or statistics20. Experience leading peer reviews of test scenarios and test cases21. Experience with testing in an Agile Development environment22. Experience multitasking and prioritizing multiple tasks with little to no guidance23. Experience with Google or Microsoft Suite24. Experience being in the VR headset for multiple hours a day in a fast paced app/game**Preferred Qualifications:**Preferred Qualifications:25. Experience working cross-discipline with production and engineering teams26. VR game testing experience27. Basic and recent knowledge of data modeling languages (Python, SQL, JQL, DAX, Ruby)28.
