Chronicle employees are expected to have a focus mainly on news related to CLC and the events taking place on campus. If selected, applicants will be expected to write an article for The Chronicle to demonstrate their writing proficiency and ability to navigate the editing and publishing process.Hours may vary significantly with this position from week to week (anywhere from 0 to 10+). The Chronicle is focused on covering the CLC community, and its student editor determines content and coverage. Responsibilities in this position will increase according to demonstrated skill and interest.Required Qualification(s)- Must be a CLC student enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours – Attach an availability schedule with application-Strong writing skills-Ability to meet deadlines-An interest in CLC events and relevant newsDesired Qualification(s)Those with an interest and experience in journalistic work are encouraged to apply. Recommended skills and experience include writing and reporting for a high school newspaper or other publication; familiarity with journalistic writing and reporting; journalistic editing experience, including writing headlines and captions; graphic design; InDesign software experience; and journalistic photography.
