Your Future.SummaryOversees the development of tools and resources that support On-Premise (OP) trade class, communicates organizational priorities to the Distributor Management teams and acts as the central OP gatekeeper between Customer Development OP, Distributor Management, DRIVE and Commerce Teams by collaborating with the business unit and Sales leadership.Primary responsibilities include:+ Ensure the sales organization is aware of, using, and executing resources developed by the broader winery to support OP.+ Leads the monitoring and analysis of channel portfolio and brand specific programs, to include score carding and best practice sharing reporting findings to OP Director for use in strategic OP developments.+ Supports the Gallo Winery OP Wine Advocacy efforts through coordination of cross-functional partners/agencies to include: Activation Agency – Ambassadors; Commerce – Development of tactical strategies and dynamic activation elements; Brand – Consult and drive channel/subchannel strategies for priority SKU’s/Brands+ Supports Agile marketing process for OP Channel Team, Demo’s and Promotions.Essential Functions+ Leverages mastery of brand strategy and positioning, business drivers, and relevant consumer, customer and channel trends and insights to lead the OP strategy of assigned brand(s) against business objectives.+ Assists in the development and communication of overall On-Premise strategy, to include tactical prioritization by channel and subchannel (e.g. Fine Dining, Casual Dining, Golf/Recreation, Nightclubs, Luxury Lodging, etc.).+ Establishes and develops a Category Development approach to the OP Channel.+ Utilizes Chain data, Guest and Channel insights to establish a consultative role in making category recommendations for our Strategic customers.+ Collaborates with Customer Development and Distributor Management OP, Commerce and DRIVE teams, and leadership to gather insights and feedback on areas of opportunity. Proposes solutions based on customer feedback and trends.+ Ensures the sales organization adopts and applies the tools and resources provided by the BUs and DRIVE.+ Acts as the central liaison between the BU and cross functional partners by leveraging and implementing existing sales, BU training, online, DRIVE and commerce marketing tools and materials.+ Supports the development of on-premise materials for field sales resources (the transition of work between Commerce and Marketing – to include brand standards, portfolio presentations in both digital and paper assets – from winery to field sales). Manages Account validation process for national accounts.+ Monitors, reports, and makes recommendations based upon market trends, gathers insights and utilizes data reporting to evaluate and relay opportunities from the field back to OP leadership.+ Harvests local market data for use in future OP sales programming.+ Leads cross-functional analysis; collaborates with stakeholders across BU and Gallo departments and presents findings to sales and BU leadership.+ Supports yearly and seasonal Brand programming launches within regions in collaboration with Sales Planners, to include:+ Working with BUs via Sales Planning re: new and evolved programs.+ Developing Gallo Winery BU Forecasts.+ Assisting in Pricing development.+ Working with Regional/area Sales on NSM and Road Show presentations, brand updates and BU portfolio strategies.+ Consulting regarding appropriate Test Markets / Test Accounts for new programs where applicable.+ Identifies opportunities for improving sales communication platforms, technologies and processes related to OP.+ Partners with IS team members to develop, enhance, and implement revised platforms to drive channel needs.+ Partners closely with cross functional partners and members of the BU and Sales teams to ensure needs are met for the On Premise channel.+ Provides regular updates on the performance of Gallo Winery brands in the marketplace and progress versus sales and distribution goals.+ Leverages technology (e.g., Somm.AI & SIP Source) and digital assets to monitor performance, identify opportunities, facilitate decisions by OP team, conduct exception reporting, etc.+ Coordinate efforts to develop and execute plans that are consistent with long-range plans for Gallo Winery Portfolio.+ Performs market research analysis to identify trends and opportunities to be used to the advantage of achieving sales goals and growth.+ Monitors Gallo Winery BU brand plans and recommends corrective actions if necessary.+ Provides analysis of quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external data sources in support of business decisions.+ Collaborates with development teams to design business intelligence solutions to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval.+ Provides insight to decision-makers. Manages the identification and interpretation of patterns in datasets to locate influences.+ Participates in the execution of strategies in support of the OGSM’s.+ Provides input in portfolio strategy development and identification of Renovation/Innovation opportunities for the Commercial BU.+ Supports relationships with outside agencies ensuring alignments with brand goals and objectives.+ Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.Minimum Qualifications+ Master’s degree plus 6 years of finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of Gallo brand marketing or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master’s degree plus 4 years of Gallo brand marketing or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.+ Experience building or selling brands in the on-premise channel.+ Experience effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.+ Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.+ Required to spend 40% of time traveling in-market & to company headquarters in order to conduct job duties.+ Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
