Its goal is to unify intelligently curated content with open and expressive communication to help foster stronger connections between people everywhere.We are looking to bring on a **Senior Design Program Manager** onto the CxD Design Ops Team. As a Sr. Design Program Manager, you'll drive operational excellence of our design system, focused on integration and adoption across various product teams. You’ll be responsible for tracking project process, enhancing documentation, governing process improvements, facilitating collaboration between design system and feature teams, driving design system work forward from strategy to implementation, and much more.As a member of our DesignOps team, you will contribute to our charter of better cross-product integration, stronger customer experiences, improved efficiencies at scale, and ultimately a healthy design culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.**Responsibilities**+ Manage triaging, backlog management, and prioritization processes of design system work.+ Supervise and communicate project status and updates with the design system team, broader design team, collaborators, and management.+ Define and drive the team’s planning process, including weekly check-ins and progress tracking.+ Drive rollout plans for new design system projects and support ongoing initiatives.+ Collaborate with engineering, design, and product management partners to plan design system project requirements.+ Explore and iterate on process frameworks for the design system team focused on improving planning and development capabilities.+ Plan, support, and manage documentation and governance workflows for design system related content.+ Define and implement metrics and dashboards for measuring design system success including possible surveys and usage scorecards and dashboards.+ Develop and implement change management, education, communication, and engagement strategies to enhance design system adoption and understanding.Other+ Embody ourCulture (icrosoft.com/v2/global/en/culture) & Values (icrosoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values)**Qualifications****Required Qualifications:**+ Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 5+ years of experience working in product or service design+ OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 4+ years of experience working in product or service design+ OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).**Other Requirements:**+ Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: **Microsoft Cloud Background Check:** This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.**Preferred Qualifications:**+ Experience managing projects and coordinating the efforts of multiple teams across the business, managing day-to-day projects.+ Experience and/or familiarity with design systems and systems thinking.+ Self-starter with demonstrable understanding of user experience and design.+ Understands how to utilize design specialties and how/when to integrate with partnering teams.+ Experience identifying team operational opportunities, developing new processes, mechanisms and operations of the team.+ Customer-centric mindset with a solid understating of the importance of qualitative and quantitative research.+ Familiarity and working knowledge of current design or management tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe suite, Jira, Azure DevOps, and others).+ Awareness of inclusive design and how it supports Microsoft's mission.+ Willingness to question established thinking in pursuit of better outcomes.+ Familiarity with Agile, Lean, and/or other modern product development methodologies.+ Ability to dive deep into quantifiable metrics is a nice to have.Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
